Shenandoah Elks Youth Wrestling

There was a large turnout for the annual Shenandoah Elks Youth Wrestling.  Members of our Shenandoah Elks Lodge once again escorted the tournament participants into the gymnasium to begin the competition.  A BIG thank you to members, Charles Hall, Terry Miller, Doug McElroy, Tim Hogue, Dave Wiebold, Don Herdliska and Bob Iske for representing the Lodge.  Supporting and encouraging our youth is a key mission of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks!  “Elks: Elevating America”

Elks Lodge members, participants and supporters begin the tournament with the Pledge of Allegiance.

17th Annual Comedy Night a HUGE Success

The Lodges annual comedy night was once again a resounding success!  The entertainment was top notch and from the comments and reactions from the standing room only crowd, all in attendance enjoyed themselves.  Thank you to all those who contributed to once again providing our Lodge and Community with a “Big City” event here in our corner of Iowa!

Wrestling Volunteers Still Needed

The Elks Youth Wrestling Tournament sponsored by the Shenandoah Elks Lodge will be February 15th.  We need you at the High School by 11:45 a.m.  We will be needing volunteers to walk in the youth that day, as well as there will be helpers needed during the matches as well.  Let Charles Hall or myself know if you need more information or would like to volunteer.
Thanks,
Alan Armstrong

PSP Tom Kelly passes…

We ask that you hold the family of Tom Kelly and his many friends in Prayer. Tom passed away last evening following an extended illness. Tom was an active member and PER of Ames Lodge #1626. Tom served as the President of the Iowa Elks Association in 1983 and served the association for many years! “The faults of our Members we write upon the sand, their virtues upon the tablets of Love and Memory.” RIP dear Brother and friend…
